Martin Primary School Mural
The playground of Martin Primary School once had a bare brick wall until Les brought five well-known paintings to life for the students.
Each segment of the wall represents a specific artistic period in time. The first is the "Mona Lisa" from the Renassiance period.
The second painting is the "Three Musicians" by Pablo Picasso during the Cubism period. This painting is one of Les' favorites.
The next painting is "American Gothic" by Grant Wood. This painting is a popular icon in American art and culture. The fourth painting is a piece of pop art by Andy Warhol.
Its representation is much more than just a can of soup. The final painting is of Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night".
This painting finished the mural by adding depth of color and serenity.
